Healthy Eating at OLPS
The whole school community at OLPS is engaged in the Eat Good Kids Program. This is a fun, energetic, information packed hour lesson for every child at OLPS. During the lesson the children will explore mathematics (measuring ingredients and problem solving) and various literacy based curriculum indicators (reading recipes, following instructions, reading and writing). The children will be encouraged to taste what delicious healthy snacks they’ve made with their very own hands!
The Eat Good Kids Program will work within three areas of the school community; students, teachers and parents. This multi-faceted approach means that everyone has the opportunity to understand and support the importance of healthy eating for children, whilst taking away something that inspires individual health.
