“Lost in the Library”
What a wonderful show!
The Performing Arts program is alive and strong at OLPS. We are very proud that we provide every child with the opportunity to perform on stage in front an audience. Our productions are for all students Kindy to Year 6 and it’s an opportunity for the children’s gifts and talents to be showcased. My hope is that this experience sparks a love of the stage and performing in some students so they will be encouraged to pursue more such experiences.
Throughout Term 3, all the students thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was a wonderful learning experience for the students to perform on such a spectacular stage with professional sound and lighting. Teamwork, cooperation, perseverance, self-discipline, confidence and hard work are qualities required for the production of a successful show and these were all evident throughout the production process for students, teachers and parents.
OLPS produces a school musical every two years. This provides the opportunity for Year 5 and Year 6 students to take on lead roles. As in past years, the 2018 Year 5 and Year 6 students shone! The senior student’s commitment to their roles was outstanding.
Thank you to the support and encouragement from their parents, teachers and fellow students. This is certainly an event for all junior students to look forward to when they reach Year 5 or Year 6.
